Irish Suicide Prevention Resources

  • National Suicide Prevention Helpline: This helpline offers 24/7, free, and confidential support for individuals in distress, along with prevention and crisis resources.

  • Phone: 1-800-273-8255 (available through the Samaritans)

  • Samaritans: You can also contact Samaritans at 116 123 for confidential support at any time.

  • Pieta House: For those in crisis, Pieta House offers support and can be reached at 1800 247 247.


Crisis Text Line: If you prefer texting over calling, you can text HOME to 50808 to connect with a crisis counsellor who can provide support and resources.


LGBTQ+ Resources

  • BeLonG To: A national organization that supports LGBTQ+ young people in Ireland, providing resources, support services, and advocacy.

  • GLEN (Gay and Lesbian Equality Network): Focuses on achieving equality for LGBTQ+ individuals in Ireland through research, advocacy, and education.

  • The National LGBT Helpline: Offers confidential support and information to LGBTQ+ individuals and their families in Ireland.
